Founder / DJ / Producer

Cory Rock.
Built from the booth out.

A Florida-based DJ, producer and obsessive track digger building darker, stranger and more dynamic dance floors.

The beginning

Cory Rock is still in the first year of his DJ and production journey, but the project is already moving from home sessions into real rooms. Early appearances include Audio Bar in Las Vegas, O'Sheas in West Palm Beach and a run of underground house parties—places where track selection matters more than a polished press line.

The route here

Raised in New York and now based in South Florida, Cory took an unconventional route into electronic music. Before stepping behind the decks, he built a background in finance and played poker professionally—two worlds shaped by preparation, pattern recognition, risk and decision-making under pressure. Those experiences still influence how he approaches DJing: read the room, stay patient and know when to make an unexpected move.

The sound

Tech house is the center of gravity, especially darker rollers, bass-heavy grooves and records with enough space to mix creatively. UKG, bassline, hip-hop-flavored club edits and harder techno pressure widen the palette. The goal is not to stay inside one genre box; it is to build tension, release and surprise without losing the room.

Why Tech House Now

Tech House Now grew out of the same process Cory uses to prepare sets: digging beyond the obvious feeds, testing how tracks function together and keeping notes on what each record actually does. The publication turns that private workflow into useful discovery for DJs and committed music fans.

What comes next

The Cory Rock project is developing through DJ sets, remixes, original production and weekly music discovery. New music, set clips and behind-the-scenes production content are shared through SoundCloud and the Cory Rock social channels.
